Public preferences on immigration in Japan

چکیده
This paper examines the factors affecting Japanese attitudes toward immigration. Using individual-level survey data, we investigate impact of both economic/socioeconomic (cognitive) and noneconomic (or noncognitive) factors, latter including behavioral bias, communication skills, social stance subjective well-being. The results indicate that individuals are male, richer, more educated, younger from smaller families tend to agree with More importantly, also matter, those have lower time preference, better English language skills overseas experience tending be positive perception In addition, trusting neighborhoods rather than government, make donations society keep in good health
